The Summer Hosting Edit
July 2026. Summer Hosting edit
Objects that make a table feel like a decision was made about it - before anyone sits down.
Cuvée de Prestige Champagne Bucket
Barware Accessories
Solid aluminium · sand-cast in India · fluted detailing
'The anchor piece for a considered summer table. Substantial, engraved, generous enough for multiple bottles. It makes the act of opening something feel like an occasion.'
£340
Flask Decanter
Barware accessories
Mouth-blown glass · hand-painted platinum neck
'Fill it with a fine spirit. Place it at the centre of a table.
The platinum neck catches evening light in a way that clear glass without that detail cannot.'
£90
Aztec Ginger Jar
Vases & Ginger Jars
Hand-thrown porcelain · hand-etched motif · polished brass trim
'The deep blue of the Aztec motif reads differently in different lights. At midday it is bold and graphic. By 9pm on a July evening it becomes something warmer entirely.'
£150
London Cocktail Shaker Set
Barware Accessories
Polished stainless steel · 5 pieces · hand-polished in India
'Five pieces in polished stainless steel. Makes the act of mixing a drink feel purposeful rather than functional. The preparation of a drink as part of the evening.'
£60
Sunshine Throw & Carry Strap
Outdoor
Cotton & recycled polyester · reversible · antique brass strap
'Not on the table — on the chair beside it. For when the temperature drops after 9pm and someone reaches for it. That anticipation is the Storytelling principle in practice.'
£155
How these five pieces work together
There is a particular quality to a summer evening when someone has thought about it. Not decorated it — thought about it. The difference is in the objects. A champagne bucket that arrives as a piece of craft, not a purchase. A decanter that catches the light at 7pm in a way that changes the table around it. A cocktail set that makes the preparation of a drink part of the evening. A throw on the chair for when the evening earns it.
These five pieces are my answer to July.
